Seed Stitch

Also known as British Moss stitch.

For EVEN number of stitches
Row 1. *k1, p1* repeat along row
Row 2. *P1, k1* repeat along the row
Repeat both rows

For ODD number of stitches

Row 1. K1, *p1, k1* repeat * until end
Repeat for all rows

Skill Level
An advanced beginner stitch as you need to remember to move the yarn back and forward between the knit and purls so not to cause 'holes' in the piece.

The Look
Seed stitch gets its name from the little scattered bumps which look like seeds. This pattern is a nice sturdy pattern which is great for knitting a scarf and finishing row ends to prevent curling.
